 Cooling Principle

 

   Masterkool is an outdoor cooling system which is appropriate for open space or even internal area

     Where good ventilation can be obtained. Cooling is done on the basis of evaporation theory, where water will suck in heat around it in order to be used as energy for its own evaporation.

Based on the said theory, in order to maximize the capability of water to suck and absorb heat from the atmosphere without any moisture problem, Masterkool employs a way to create 5 microns water droplets (which is 10 times smaller than hair diameter) not dissimilar to those of natural fog, so that they can touch and absorb hot weather to the maximum before instantly evaporate. This principle is designated as “Flash Evaporation” and can reduce temperatures around the body of particles at 5 í-10 í Celsius without any “wet” or moisture problem. Hence, coolness is obtained from this very “natural” principle, like a breeze of fresh air from the riverside. Also there is no dangerous or poisonous chemical involved.

Masterkool may be separated into 2 main parts:

  • Misting system with high-pressure technology
  • Micro-size spray nozzle

These two elements create and distribute mist, which absorb heat and then quickly evaporate while covering the desired space.

Questions & Answers:

Q:

How large a space can Masterkool system cover?

A:

Main purpose of the system is to arrange for coolness outdoors. So there is no limitation as for size or whereabouts of spaces. For 50 square meters and less, Masterkool no 1 (smallest) can do the job, when sizes of space increase, larger units are then required. Designated number means times of space or area coverage e.g. no 2 means coverage of 100 square meter, etc.


Q:

Will water as used via Masterkool be dangerous for human beings? Or will it create wetness?

A:

Since Masterkool’s water droplets are smaller than 5 microns (just a bit larger than water droplets in the air) so there is no danger whatsoever. And since flash evaporation occurs so quickly, residue of particles is out of the question. Wetness will never happen no matter how long the system is switched on.


Q:

It seems that Masterkool look like normal electric fan, why a lot more expensive?

A:

It may look like simple electric fan; particularly from outside where it is responsible to distribute coolness from flash evaporation. But designing to achieve the end-purpose means that a special design-process is needed and each part of the system is independent in order to achieve the required purpose – withstanding high pressure and heavy-duty operation. Plus high costs for production and quality control. Comparing the investment cost / operative cost against air conditioning system for similar space, however, it is found that Masterkool has a much lower investment / operative cost.
